There's something new to discover in every season at Longwood gardens! Come join us for an exciting day among the coming signs of spring! Acres upon acres of flora, fauna, culture and music await you. Be prepared to hike! There is a lot of walking to be done, so wear comfortable shoes.

A tour through Longwood gardens will be a rewarding experience, complete with an ever-changing natural palette of color, fragrance, beauty, and design. It is a place to relax, rejuvenate, and experience the wonders of nature while hanging out with friends and making new ones. Enjoy jaw-droppingly beautiful costumes and extraordinary musical and dance performances.

As a special treat for our visit, we will be present for the Native America Celebration Day. There will be many interesting activities, shows, musical performances to see. Here is a schedule: Immerse yourself in the art, history and traditions of Native America. Learn about the horticultural importance of the three sisters (beans, squash and corn), and take part in native dances. See an arrowhead-making demonstration and hear a lively storyteller.

Included in admission is an optional self-guided Audio Tour of the 4-acre Conservatory that features more than two hours of recorded information and an easy-to-follow guide map of the Gardens.

Lunch is available at the gardens in the Terrace Restaurant cafe. Another option is to dine at one of the nearby restaurants. We are able to leave and re-enter the gardens. If you have specific dietary needs or do not wish to dine as a group with one of these options, you may bring your lunch, and exit the gardens to eat it and re-enter when finished. One of our nearby lunch options which received excellent reviews is called "The Orchard"

How to Get There:
Event Directions:From Baltimore, and Washington

Take I-95 North, cross the Susquehanna River, go through one toll ($5 northbound only), and immediately take Exit 93 for Route 222 (in Maryland). After exiting, turn right onto Route 222 (Jacob Tome Rd.). Almost immediately the road becomes Route 275 (Don't continue on Route 222, which turns to the left). A few miles later when Route 275 ends at a "T" intersection, make a right turn onto Route 276. Take Route 276 to Route 1 North, which in approximately 4 miles crosses into Pennsylvania. Stay on Route 1 beyond Kennett Square until Longwood's entrance ramp is reached.
