|Join in on a Griswold-style vacation as we take to the road this August and head for a quick weekend trip to Niagara Falls in Ontario, Canada. The 400-mile, or 7-hour drive, will go by in a hurry as we share stories in the car(s), listen to music, practice our “Eh?!’s” and take a break for lunch and a gas pit stop.BRBR We’ll leave the Baltimore area at 7:30 AM (everyone attending is required to meet at the carpool at this time) on Friday morning. This will put us on track for a 4 PM arrival in Niagara Falls.BRBR BCrossing the Border:/BBR IHave proof of citizenship readily available (photo ID - drivers license). For more information you may call Canada Customs at: 905-994-6332. Firewood is restricted from entering Canada in your vehicle./IBRBR Dinner will be at a place of your choice…but we can head over to the visitors’ attractions by the falls for a place to eat, or some place near the campground (in Niagara Falls). Fireworks are displayed near the falls on Friday nights. Please observe the KOA rules and reduce or stop all noise after posted hours. (This will not be your typical late-night, beer-guzzling camping trip).BRBR Saturday morning’s breakfast will be served at the campground, followed by an included ride on the Maid of the Mist boat tour. Saturday’s lunch will be at a place of your choice. Then, we’ll meet back up at the Oh Canada, Eh?! dinner show next to the campground – included in the MOC event price (except for the tip or optional additional costs during the meal).BRBR Sunday, we’ll have breakfast at the campground, and leave the area at a time devised by the group consensus (depending on if anyone wanted to get any last-minute activities in). Sunday lunch and dinner will be on your own expense.BRBR BHelpful Links:/B UL LIA HREF=http://www.niagarafallsstatepark.com/ TARGET=_blankNiagara Falls State Park/A/LI LIA HREF=http://www.city.niagarafalls.on.ca/ TARGET=_blankCity of Niagara Falls/A/LI LIA HREF=http://discoverniagara.com/main/index.php TARGET=_blankDiscover Niagara/A/LI LIA HREF=http://www.koa.com/where/morekampgroundinfo/55201amenities.htm TARGET=_blankKOA – Niagara Falls/A/LI LIA HREF=http://www.maidofthemist.com/ TARGET=_blankMaid of the Mist/A/LI LIA HREF=http://www.ohcanadaeh.ca TARGET=_blankOh Canada, Eh?!/A/LI LIA HREF=http://www.skytower.com TARGET=_blankSkylon Tower/A/LI LIA HREF=http://falls.net/attractions/ TARGET=_blankMore Attractions/A/LI /UL Notes: This event will go on rain or shine.
