Itinerary:

This is a three day bike camping trip on a portion of the C&O Canal Towpath. The pace will be a leisure one at 8 mph.


Itinerary

Day 1 - meet at the Big Slackwater parking lot at 8:45 am on Friday, June 12. A shuttle service will transport the bikes, gear, and participants to Gerogetown, the beginning of the C&O Canal Towpath. we will ride 26 miles to Horsepen Branch to camp. We will stop in Great Falls to hike a little.

Day 2 - bike 36.9 miles to Huckleberry Hill to camp. We will stop in Harper's Ferry along the way.

Day 3 - We will bike 25.1 miles back to the cars in Big Slackwater.

Cost - The shuttle is $215 to be divided by the number of participants. The shuttle service will take up to six people, bikes, and gear. If there are six people, the shuttle cost is $36 per person plus tip.

I have four people, including myself, and am looking for two more people to share the cost of the shuttle service.

Notes:

Bring cash for the shuttle service the day of the trip to be paid to the driver. The cost depends on the number of participants. The shuttle is $215 to be divided by the number of participants up to six people.
