Come on out and try your hand at clay target shooting, skeet style. Skeet is a fast action, exploding target (if you hit it) shooting sport that is rapidly growing in popularity. This is a perfect opportunity for people who have not participated in this activity or even shot a firearm before, as there will be experienced people on hand for guidance.

The Prince George’s Trap & Skeet center is very inexpensive, welcoming to new participants, and very safety minded since they are run by the Maryland Park Service. We will have reserved lane(s) just for our group so we can proceed at our own pace. The facility is giving us a group rate of $13.00, which includes one round of Skeet (25 targets), ammunition (25 rounds) and high quality gun rental, or $6.00 if you bring your own gun and ammo. It is recommended that you bring your own hearing and eye protection if you have it.

A single round of skeet for all of us should take about an hour or so depending on the group size. Additional rounds of skeet (or Trap if you want to try something different) will be decided at the event. Afterwards, lunch at a local restaurant will also be an option for all interested in telling war stories, bragging, or 1st aid over a well-earned meal (shooting makes you hungry for some reason ;-)
