Itinerary:

It's cold, snow's on the ground, roads are icy, and Skyline Drive is probably closed. Luckily, you don't need to go far to enjoy nature, experience solitude and stay in shape. And outfitting yourself for winter adventure needn't break the bank. You'll find views that were hidden by summer leaves, and easily spot animal tracks in the snow. Find out about great nearby trails from the experts at the Potomac Appalachian Trail Club, who put together the pocket guide series, Hikes in the Washington Region and get great tips on winter gear and apparel to keep you warm and dry.

This is a GREAT event if you are thinking of leading hikes for the MOC!!!

The instructional part of this event will commence at 7 pm.  You'll probably want to arrive and take your seat around 6:45 pm, as these free classes are often popular.

NOTE: This event is being put on by members of the PATC, but held at the REI Columbia store.  Please register on the REI Columbia store site in addition to our registration form below.  Why?  Because we need to know who from our group is coming to say hello and REI needs to know how many total chairs to setup.  This event is free and open to the public.  Therefore you must register with REI, but you don't need to with the MOC unless you want to be in the loop for dinner plans.  There is LIMITED space for this event with REI (due to actual physical space in the store).  If you are interested, register early!!!
