Itinerary:
Work trips are in conjunction with the Mountain Club of Maryland and the Appalachian Trail Conference. Specific projects and locations vary depending upon need. Most are general trail maintenance with hand tools. MCM maintains 30 miles of the AT across northern MD and PA up to Duncannon.
Tools and safety glasses will be supplied by MCM.
This time we have 2 projects depending on the number of volunteers we get. First, we'll be hiking from the Cove Mountain shelter to Duncannon doing general trail maintenance including blaze painting, brush removal, treadway fixes, installing a new step on the hillside and removing unauthorized campsite fire rings. The second is moving construction materials to the Cove Mountain shelter for a composting toilet that will replace the privy currently in place.

How to Get There:
Event Directions:Departure location is always from the Timonium Light Rail Park & Ride car pool. Work location varies but is usually 60 to 90 minutes driving time from Timonium.
