Write Up:
The theme of this year’s holiday party—the club’s seventh (!)—was most definitely “open bar.” Yes, Virginia, we really did have an open bar.

There was music (thank you, DJ Young), there was dancing, there were lights and disco moments, there were images of MOC events from 2008 (thank you, Glenn), and there was even more food than we actually ordered (thank you, Parkstone Catering). It was, in other words, a great party, and I hope everyone who came had a good time.

Thanks, too, to everyone who contributed to our 50/50 raffle for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation and who brought gifts for our adopted families with the House of Ruth of Maryland. These aren’t the easiest of times for any of us, and it’s really special that we can do something for others in this holiday season.

And a final thanks to everyone who’s contributed their time and energy to the club this year, from officers to organizers to volunteers. The MOC exists because of your efforts and dedication, and I hope we have an even better 2009. And may you all have a wonderful ChristmaKwaNukah!
