Write Up:
Well, it was a scorcher Saturday! Hot, hazy and humid with nary a slight breeze. We took off from the meeting point and had a straight shot to the ferry through some very nice scenery. The small town of Oxford is wonderfully quaint with neat, historic houses all with well kept gardens. The ferry offered some cool(er) breezes as it carried us over the dead calm waters of the Tred Avon River and delivered us to the great metropolis of Bellevue (don't blink or you'll miss the town!) on the opposite shore. From there we resumed our ride to St. Michaelís. We passed a number of fellow peddlers on our way to St. Michaelís who were biking the Tour de Talbot. That ride had 65 and 100 mile options which we couldnít imagine doing in that heat!

Lunch was at a local haunt called the St. Michael's Crab & Steak House right on the water in St. Michaelís. We saw many fine (and very expensive) boats. The food was very good and the wait staff handled our group without a hitch. After lunch, those who had room for dessert enjoyed ice cream while others checked out some of the shops and a craft fair on the main street. Then we headed back to Easton at the peak of the afternoon heat.

There werenít any mechanical problems and everyone made it back in one piece. We all kept well hydrated and of course had on a generous amount of sunscreen. A great day, wonderful biking, and a superb group!

Thanks to everyone for coming out and having a good time!
