Sun, Nov 3 2002 - Easy Loop Day Hike in Snow Hill, MD (View Original Event Details)|
|Participants:||Amy Pickwick, Mark Zawodny, Charles Samardza|
Wow, it was definitely a bit on the cold side on this hike! I think I had an icicle hanging from my nose by the end of the hike! Nah, wasn't quite that bad.
Anyway, Chuck, Mark, and I walked amongst the beautiful fall colors in the Pocomoke State Forest - not too far away from the Pocomoke River itself. Some parts were a bit marshy, some sandy, some areas blanketed in leaves in a kaleidoscope of fall colors. We even took a peek at a 100+ year old cemetery stuck right in the middle of the forest! Well, at least that's where it is now. Who knows what existed near this area one hundred years ago.
Shame on all of you who signed up and were no shows! Please let me know next time if you are uncertain if you will make it or not, in advance of the hike - so we don't end up waiting for you.
