Write Up:
The weather for the day turned out to be sunny and warm. It was a great day to go for a bike ride!

After our rendezvous in Easton and introductions, we set out for Oxford on the first nine mile leg of our journey. The group quickly spread out with people finding their own pace. We arrived in Oxford and reassembled the group just in time to catch the next Ferry across the Tred Avon River. The ferry "Talbot" delivered us safely to the "mighty metropolis" of Bellevue (don't blink, or you'll miss the town!). After disembarking from the ferry, we started out on the second nine mile leg of our trip which included riding through the quaint little town of Royal Oak on our way to St. Michaels. We rode into the town of St. Michaels arriving in the local park where we locked up our bikes and headed out on foot to our lunch spot, the St. Michaels Crab and Steakhouse restaurant. We had a fun lunch sitting at the outdoor tables overlooking the water. Following lunch, most of the group checked out the shops on the main street of town. We then returned to our bikes and set off on the final 11 mile leg of our ride back to Easton.

The ride was mostly through farm, wooded, and residential areas. We were on wide shoulders of the roads or where there was no shoulder on the actual road. The vehicle traffic was generally light except for the return trip but the wide shoulder made for plenty of room for all.

Upon our return to the carpool at Annapolis Mall, we found that several people had had their cars towed. We have recommended that Annapolis Mall be dropped as a standard carpool location for the club. Special thanks to Liz for going out of her way in helping those who had their cars towed.
