Write Up:
The weather was in the mid-60's and cloudy which was ideal for hiking up Old Rag. The MOC'ers were surprised by a park fee of $8 but nobody complained. After paying our entrance fees the group headed up the trail at 10:10am. The group consisted of several new memebers but most on the hike had experienced Old Rag previously.

The MOC'ers didn't have the trail exclusively but with the exception of the rock scrambling sections we did not encounter too many other groups.

Prior to reaching the summit, it started to sprinkle and the temperature had dropped 6-10 degrees. Therefore the MOC collectively decided to have a quick lunch and get down the moutain before the weather really got bad. During the descent, the rain started to come down harder but fortunately it never opened up in a downpour. The hike ended shortly after 3pm which was followed by a group meal at Ruby Tuesday's in Warrenton, VA. Despite the rain, it was a good time and a great hike.
