Write Up:
We started off with a tour of the George Washington Masonic Memorial. For some, the main attraction was the detailed Masonic descriptions and history by the grandfatherly guide; for others, it was the great view from the observation deck.

After a quick stop at one of the (replacement) marker stones marking the old DC/VA border, we caught a bus to make our tour of Gadsby's Tavern Musuem. This tour highlighted drinking and accomodations in the 1790s and mentioned a few of George Washington's connections to the place.

After the Gadsby's tour, the group wandered around the block to view a few other tavern sites in Alexandria as well as George Washington's Town House, then headed to Hard Times Cafe to warm up with some chili.
