Write Up:
Well, the weather didn't start out looking to be on our side for this bike trip, but we still met up to try it out. Not only did the weather turn out to be just fine, but we ended up doubling the distance of this event. We biked a total of 15 miles from Bethesda to Georgetown (including a scenic view of the Georgetown storefronts) and back to Bethesda. The Capital Crescent trail was perfect, with the smell of Spring in the air, Daffodils-a-bloomin', other bikers and runners few and far between, and spectacular views of the C&O Canal and the Potomac - with row boats and all. After we finished biking, we followed the trip up with a much deserved and needed lunch at Austin Grill in Bethesda. Good time had by all. Let's do it again!

(This bike trail found in Country Walks Near Washington, available at our online books & magazine shop).
