Write Up:Everyone probably awoke early (really early) Sunday morning to cold rain. The
weather was looking bleak at 6:30am, but the forecast was for a clear day.
Not detered, 5 hikers showed up at Cunningham Falls Manor Area by 8am. We
started the hike up Bob's Hill for out first view. It was not impressive.
We continued the hike, visiting several more views. Each got better as the
day went on. Conversation revolved around man boobs (don't ask), whether
Shakespeare was a sophisticated playwright or just another hack playing to
the whims of the masses, and some (not unexpected) crazy things Paul said.
About halfway through the hike Wil received a call, and devoted father he is,
off running back to his car he went to take his kids on a surely fun
activity. We observed the Cunningham Falls briefly before continuing on the
trail to see our next sight--a state highway. We then turned around to go
the correct direction on the trail and back towards the cars. We arrived at
the cars to find a party of pirates celebrating a birthday. Unfortunately
for the pirates, it started to rain and they all scurried to their cars.
John and Deanna headed back to the car pool, while Lucas and Paul enjoyed
Chinese food at a favorite MOC Chinese restaurant in Frederick.
