Write Up:
Although a small group, we packed in an awful lot of fun, at Letís Dish! in Columbia, MD at 7:30 PM. All five of us were brand new to the whole concept of preparing meals at Letís Dish! In no time though, we felt like pros. We had an assortment of meals that we had preselected from their July menu, and occasionally we would overlap the same meal with another person within our group. The rest of the time we met and mingled with the other patrons Ė all very nice and fun!

So, when we booked on the Letís Dish! web site, we each got to pick four of the following as our meals to prepare at our one-hour session. The cost for 4 meals x 6 servings was $85 (or about $3.50 per serving). (The more meals you pick, the lower your per serving cost is). This included:

Bourbon-Glazed Steaks
Burgers with Caramelized Onions and Feta
California Pesto Pizza
Chicken Cheesesteaks
Citrus Tilapia
Firecracker Chicken with Parmesan Green Beans (popular with our group)
Frozen Strawberry Margarita Pie
Jerk Chicken with Pineapple Salsa
Marinated Flank Steak
Mediterranean Pasta Toss
Mixed Bean and Rice Burritos (popular with our group)
Pork Tenderloins with Chile Apricot Glaze
Shrimp Scampi with Linguine
Thai-Style Pork Wraps with a Ginger-Soy Sauce

Each meal was setup at a ďstation,Ē complete with all the ingredients, step-by-step instructions, and bags to store the meals in. Most, if not all of us, split each meal (meals serve 6 each) into two. This way we donít have to reheat a full meal at home. After done at each station, it was on to wrapping and labeling each with cooking instructions. Then, we stored the meals in the large freezer in the corner. And, we repeated this process over until our four meals were made. Remembering to wash our hands in between too!

The Letís Dish! kitchen also had coffee and scones available to us. And, many patrons were drinking wine and beer.

Once we got our meals home, we put them right in the freezer, to reheat in the next couple of weeks. We also took home complete thaw and cooking instructions.

Not only was this event a great time-saver, but also very easy meal preparation, and not to mention the money-saver not having to buy all those ingredients. For less than the cost of a meal at McDonaldís, we were able to prepare servings of delicious and healthy food. I think our entire group left ready to recommend this place to others. (You don't have to go as a group, and for every paying patron you can bring one non-paying friend to watch).

Glad to have shared the experience with a few others. It was great to socialize and see the other creations our attendees were putting together. We all had a blast and canít wait to go back again!

Not your typical MOC event, but youíll definitely see it repeat in the future. Stay tuned!
