Write Up:
A group of adventurers convened at the Owen Brown Community Center in Columbia to discuss Alaska and to go over a slide show of member Jonathan White's trips there. With the slides, the group traveled through the Great North across river beds, rose high in float planes, and journeyed over the expansive tundra to see landscapes few human eyes have gazed upon. Highlights of any Alaska trip were discussed, as were bears, the midnight sun, and the joy of experiencing a first-rate American wilderness.

The concluding video, "Arctic Dance," was cut short by the center's closing, but interest in Alaska was sufficiently stoked for hopefully a future viewing. A group of members enjoyed a hearty meal at Noodles before braving the January elements.
