Write Up:
The birds were asleep when we stumbled into the Vienna Metro Parking lot Sunday morning. Hikers brightened each other's spirits with friendly conversation. Also, Amy bringing donuts was uplifting.

The sun came up on our drive out to Shenandoah. It was a Winter day, but thankfully there was no precipitation or much wind.

It was a bit tough taking the switchbacks up the ridge. For some of us, the most challenging aspect of the hike was working through, up, below, above and around rocks. Be prepared to flex, stretch and use your hands on the Old Rag hike.

At the overlook, there wasn't much of a view because of all the fog. There were some interesting signs and a man playing and singing Country music very loud.

Down the fire road was pretty easy. As soon we were all finished we took the ride into Warrenton to the customary post-Shenandoah stop of Ruby Tuesday's. Jeff was again impressed by the youthfulness of the wait staff there. Nobody got the Colossal Burger, which we learned has 114g of fat.

Thanks to everyone who came out and I hope you had a great time!
