Sun, Nov 28 2004 - Difficult Day Hike in Mont. Co.
(Seneca Creek) (View Original Event Details)|
|Participants:||Keith Ferguson, Kim Buhrman, Lucas Fisher, Paula Moran, Edward Jones, Dee Campanella, Sarah Dannenfelser|
The weather did not look promising the night before or
morning of the event, but those who were brave
show up were rewarded with a beautiful hiking day. By
time we began the hike, the skies were clear. The trail
bit wet, but this was not a hindrance. There was only
marked trail, so it was easy to stay on track, and we all
together out and back anyway. We made a couple of
stops next to the stream for refreshment but otherwise
steady pace to the Potomac River. We found a picnic
beside the river for enjoying our lunch and then
trip. Only Ed, in front, managed to spot a few deer, but
see lots of birds. It was an excellent friendly group and
chatter was constant. Overall it was a terrific day.
