We had a great time! Thank you to all of you who came out. It was a beautiful day, despite the rain scare we had based on the prior day's weather report. I have to say, I continued to be impressed by the friendly and fun group of people MOC attracts.

The hike was beautiful. The bright green colors, which you see only in early Spring, were especially nice. We had several stream crossings that we handled like pros, although some proved to be more challenging than others. We walked in many wooded areas, but were lucky enough to pass through a few developed areas to be able to access bathrooms and water. The group proved to be troopers on the swinging bridge that goes over (way over) the Patapsco River. I did have a quick worry as we approached it, thinking I had not asked if anyone was scared of heights. Luckily, that was not the case--or at least no one said anything.

We enjoyed a few good hills. We hiked uphill to the waterfall, or maybe we should say large rocks with water running down, which was a great lunch spot. Holly took advantage of this photo op. As for wildlife, there were a couple of deer sightings. In one case we were able to get pretty close to her/ him. Apparently, the 14 of us did not look all that intimidating.

A special thanks to Robert, as he acted as 'sweep' and made sure none of us fell too far behind the herd. And I have to say, especially impressive was the fact that KC and Jesse ran across the Bay Bridge the following day. Obviously, they are not scared of heights or of a good challenge!

We all enjoyed this 8-mile hike (according to our map), except that KCs GPS device says we went 5.5 miles. Who really knows? Some of us had an addendum to the hike, which involved a trip to the Double T Diner on Rt. 40. We were happy that on the hike and on the extra trip to lunch we were joined by first-time MOC participators. We had a great time and thanks again to everyone who came out!
