The evening began with a guest speaker who spoke about what limits the size of galaxies. The speaker was very interesting and the information was well aimed at people who are not astronomy experts.
After the short half hour presentation, we were able to use the telescopes and observe the night sky. We had telescopes trained on Venus, Jupiter, the moon, and Mars. It was a nice, clear night for the most part and the observing was fun. Everyone got a chance to see through each of the 3 scopes.
At the end of the night, a few of us headed over to Franklin's for a meal and some drinks.
