Write Up:
The MOC enjoyed another trip along the Panther Branch Trail of the Gunpowder Falls State Park in Maryland. This year we had no snow (thank goodness!) but a fair amount of mud from the recent rains. The mud became especially adventurous for one member, whose sole fell off one of her boots midway through the hike! We managed to bind it back together with bandage tape from the first aid kit, and luckily that held (with a few extra applications) til the end of the trip. A+ for good sportsmanship to Amy! There also seemed to be more unmarked side paths this year than in the past; perhaps folks are blazing trails of their own now. Two members brought dogs, who were great sports and good hiking company.

Delicious Kirchmeyer gourmet chocolates and Woodhall wine tasting welcomed us to the end of the hike, at the Woodhall Winery. Some of the group stayed longer for a tour of the winery, with samples of the still-fermenting 2010 wines. Neat!

Thanks to all the participants for a lovely time!
