Write Up:
We had very pleasant weather for this afternoon bike and blade event in Rock Creek Park. We joined up on this cool, Autumn day for some fun and exercise. The group was split in half by the chosen activity, but there was only one male blader--who luckily found himself among several female companions. The groups split up to explore the park on bikes and roller bladers. Katie and Joanne, as the event organizers, attempted to recruit some new hockey-playing members to the MOC. As the sun went down and people got tired, we met back at the cars for the caravan to dinner.

We decided to go to Mi Rancho in downtown Silver Spring, which was a nice chance from the normal chain restaurant. KC and Matt joined us there for a nice dinner.

After dinner, we drove back to the park for the star gazing. Unfortunately, it was partly cloudy and there were no Leonid's to be seen. With help from the astronomers, we managed to find Mars and Uranus. We learned that the peak for the meteor shower would be Tuesday, so we will all keep our eyes open for that. A good time was had by all!
