Sun, Apr 12 2009 - Old Rag Hike/Rock Scramble (View Original Event Details)|
|Participants:||Jerry Wright, Chris B., Nicki, Beth Succop|
Conditions were excellent for a high exertion hike, cool and windy so we didn't overheat on the way to the top. That did make it a bit breezy for lunch. In the afternoon we were sheltered from the wind on the fire road back to the parking lot and it warmed up considerably.
Trailing arbutus was in bloom along the trail on the way up. Bloodroot was prolific through the area with spring beauties, cutleaf toothwort, and geranium along the trail on the way back.
As usual, the food at the Griffin was excellent .
