Event Organizer(s): Chris B., Nils Olson
Participants:Chris B., Nils Olson, Douglas Boorstein

Write Up:
What a great day for a hike. The weather and temps were perfect. They were predicting clouds in the morning, but by the start of the hike, there was barely a cloud to be seen. The temp at the start of the hike was in the mid 60's and in the low 70's by the end of the hike.

Though there were 13 people signed up for the hike, between cancellations and no-shows, only 3 people attended the hike. For the first time, the Organizers outnumbered the participants 2 to 1.

When we arrive at the parking lot to start the hike, there was a flea market setting up. We parked off to the side to make sure we were well out of the way and set off on our hike. Like predicted, the hike up the 1000 stairs was tough, but the vista views at the top were a good reward for making it to the top. We did not encounter many other hikers on the way up the mountain, but we ran into a lot of hikers coming up the steps as we were heading down. The entire hike was 9.5 miles and we completed it in a little over 4 hours (including a break for lunch). Not bad.
